Description of Work

Jesse produces, directs, writes, and edits videos on a variety of topics, with the mission of raising awareness and knowledge for socially and environmentally important issues and organizations. Productions he’s worked on span both fiction and non-fiction, and hybrid projects that mix the two. The style also runs the gamut of live-action, animation, and mixed media.

Jesse is an award winning filmmaker and a vegetarian.  Born and raised in Queens, NY he attended NYU's Tisch School of the Arts where he graduated with honors. In 2009, his animated short "Magical Cure" won a Webby award for Best Public Service and Activism Online Video.  Over the past four years he's helped develop Greener Media as a social enterprise, producing & directing great videos with organizations such as the New York Restoration Project, Cancer & Careers, the Sustainable South Bronx, Greenpeace Australia, GrowNYC, and New York Cares, to name a few. Most recently, they’ve ventured into the Corporate Social Responsibility sector, working with both Shiseido and Alcoa on mission driven video content for internal and external audiences.

Jesse has also co-produced/directed for the Rogosin Institute, public service announcements about diabetes & kidney disease, which have been aired on regional network stations featuring NBA players Ronnie Brewer and Kris Humphries. In 2011, Farm Sanctuary hired Greener Media to produce an interactive project, Platetoplanet.org, that involved creating a website, producing a short film voiced by Hollywood actor Jason Schwartzman, and expert doc series about the environmental impacts of factory farming.  His short films "Icebox Blues" and "Breathe Easy" have been screened at the Rubin Museum of Art. "Icebox" also screened at the Brooklyn Bridge Park summer film series.   Jesse is in development on numerous productions that hopefully will make a positive impact in the world.
